Bleh Toy Store
Shopping for a child’s birthday present. In a hurry. Where to go? My first thought was Toys r Us. There are only two of those stores in the area now. The others have closed up. Now I know why. The stores SUCK.
Bad Sprouts
They just announced a recall on alfalfa sprouts sold at WalMarts. This has me very concerned. I do buy sprouts once in a while. But I almost never buy produce from WalMart. Their produce always look awful. But I do buy sprouts from Kroger. I wonder if Kroger will be making a recall announcement tomorrow? If so, I don’t want to eat the sprouts that are in my refrigerator. I don’t know how to tell if they are safe to eat or not.
Used Cars
They used to say that a car being sold that was traded in by someone else was called a “used car.” Then some of the more expensive cars decided to call these cars, “pre-owned. But today I saw a commercial for Volkswagon cars, and they mentioned that they sell new cars and “pre-loved” cars. How clever.
Pedi Ready
Now that I can wear my flip flops and sandals again, I must get a professional pedicure. There is a little shop in the neighborhood center about a mile from my house. They don’t charge much and they are close , so I plan to stop in on my lunch break and see if they can do a pedicure for me.
Kodak or HP?
I want to buy a new printer for home. It has to be inexpensive, have a small footprint, and be something that I can go buy off the shelf and not have to order. It would be great if I could find one today – I have a lot of things to scan and print. I found some good deals on HP printers, but now I am seeing commercials for Kodak printers and they say that the Kodak ink refills are much cheaper than other inks. That makes sense to me – some of these refill ink cartridges can cost as much as $70. That’s crazy expensive for a printer that only cost about $100 in the first place!
