This weekend is unbearably hot. It seems like every year, no matter what dates are selected for Bonnaroo, the weather is miserable. It is record setting hot and we have thunderstorms. Maybe those people think it is part of the fun experience. But I don’t like bad weather and I’m not going to stand out in a big field in the middle of nowhere while I swelter like a baked hippy and risk getting struck by lightning.

Shopping for a child’s birthday present. In a hurry. Where to go? My first thought was Toys r Us. There are only two of those stores in the area now. The others have closed up. Now I know why. The stores SUCK.

They just announced a recall on alfalfa sprouts sold at WalMarts. This has me very concerned. I do buy sprouts once in a while. But I almost never buy produce from WalMart. Their produce always look awful. But I do buy sprouts from Kroger. I wonder if Kroger will be making a recall announcement tomorrow? If so, I don’t want to eat the sprouts that are in my refrigerator. I don’t know how to tell if they are safe to eat or not.
